The Competition
What is the Garden City Cup?
The Garden City Cup is an annual regional high school soccer competition serving the Central Savannah River Area. It brings together programs from GHSA, GIAA, and SCHSL — associations whose teams rarely meet under normal schedules — in a single mid-season tournament each spring.

Structure
Inaugural Format & Calendar
Group Stage — complete by Feb 26, 2027
Each team plays the other two in their group. Higher seed hosts. Level matches go to two 10-minute overtime periods followed by penalty kicks — no draws. The top two in each group advance to the semifinals.
Semifinals — Monday, March 1, 2027
Group A winner vs Group B runner-up, and Group B winner vs Group A runner-up. Hosted at Aquinas High School.
Consolation — Wednesday, March 3, 2027
Group A third-place team vs Group B third-place team. Hosted at Aquinas High School.
Third Place & Final — Monday, March 8, 2027
The two semifinal losers meet in the Third Place Match. The two semifinal winners meet for the Garden City Cup. Both at Aquinas High School.
